Counter
These orphans have already faced many
of the difficulties of growing up without
parents.  Nonetheless, the human spirit
shines strong . . . The light in the lamp of
these kids burns incredibly brightly.  The
resilience that many human beings use
in overcoming great tragedies, as
reflected in these kids,  inspires us all.
It is wonderful to have great friends upon whom
you can count in life.  It's either that, or this one
young orphan boy has way too many girlfriends a
bit too early in life!    Friendships like these can
last forever.
This distinguished-looking goose saw us
taking pictures and felt a bit left out.  So,
we took his picture and sent him a copy.
He's been honking happily ever since.
People of all ages love and care for homeless
orphans.  You can just feel the kindness
pouring out of this couple's hearts.
This young lady celebrates an extremely important
milestone in the Mexican tradition.  It is her fifteenth
birthday, or her quinceaneras.  This is indeed a
special moment to celebrate in her life!
This young man was seventeen at the time.  He
was an orphan, too, and he had the honour of
serving as this girl's escort for her quinceaneras.
Que bueno!
These two young ladies lived in the separate
dorm for girls.  They don their school uniforms
after an evening of studying their lessons.  They
have great hope for an otherwise uncertain future.

(Nacho)  Juan (John) Patrick Keefe II  stands behind, with, and
among them in the back.  No one is superior.  No one is more
important than the other.  Everyone's life has equal value.  It is we
as humans that look at people and things through human eyes and
sometimes make the sad mistake of thinking otherwise.

Telling secrets, forming bonds, and counting
upon one another proves vital.  Fellow orphans
become your family, as there aren't always
enough parents to go around.
